On a beautiful morning, we embarked on an unforgettable journey as volunteers for the Sunshine Coast CoastTrek. This event, known for its challenging 50-kilometer walk from Kawana Surf Club to Noosa, attracts passionate and dedicated walkers who come together to raise funds for a worthy cause.

Sunrise Start at Kawana Surf Club

The day began with an early morning drive up to the Sunshine Coast, anticipation building as we made our way to the start line at Kawana Surf Club. The atmosphere was buzzing with excitement, as walkers gathered, their spirits high and determination palpable. Against the backdrop of a stunning sunrise, the first wave of walkers set off on their epic journey.

Breakfast at Alexandra Surf Club

Following the inspiring start, we made our way to Alexandra Surf Club for a well-deserved breakfast. The friendly staff, delectable food, and picturesque views of the beach created the perfect setting for us to recharge before continuing our volunteer duties.

Buhk Family Park Pit Stop

Adjacent to the Surf Club was Buhk Family Park, the first pit stop for the 50-kilometer walkers. As we set up our station, the park came alive with music and the energy of the walkers as they made a brief stop to refuel. We ensured that each walker was well taken care of, providing them with energy bars, water, and refreshing fruits to keep their spirits high for the journey ahead.

Summers Creek Coolum - A Moment of Bliss

After bidding farewell to the walkers at Buhk Family Park, we made our way to Summers Creek Coolum for a brief respite. The pristine shores of Summers Beach provided the perfect backdrop for our furry companion to stretch his legs and enjoy a run on the sands. As we soaked in the tranquil surroundings, we cheered on a few walkers making their way along the coast, their determination serving as a source of inspiration.

Finish Line at Hastings Street, Noosa

The day culminated at the end of Hastings Street in Noosa, where we eagerly awaited the triumphant return of the trekkers. The sight of walkers crossing the finish line, their faces beaming with pride and accomplishment, filled our hearts with joy. Witnessing the sheer determination and unwavering spirit of the participants was a humbling experience that left a lasting impression on all of us.

A Day of Inspiration and Community

Our day volunteering at the Sunshine Coast CoastTrek was more than just a series of events; it was a journey filled with moments of inspiration, camaraderie, and generosity. The perfect weather, the breathtaking scenery, and most importantly, the indomitable spirit of the walkers made this experience truly unforgettable. As we reflect on the day's events, we are reminded of the power of community coming together for a common cause and the resilience of the human spirit in the face of challenges.

In conclusion, our epic day volunteering at the Sunshine Coast CoastTrek was a testament to the strength of the human spirit, the beauty of community, and the transformative power of perseverance. It was a day that will be etched in our memories for years to come, inspiring us to continue supporting worthy causes and spreading positivity wherever we go.
