Jindalee And Riverside At The Garden Markets, Brisbane, Queensland. Australia

We headed out early to check out The Jindalee Markets that bring a family-friendly monthly Art & Craft Market offering art & craft masters showcasing their wares on the 1st Sunday of every month. Whether you’re after a gift for a friend, a bite to eat, or just a casual stroll and a browse, you’re bound to find what you’re looking for at one of Brisbane's local markets.

Before heading into the markets, Kim dropped in Streets Ahead to grab a coffee. Streets Ahead Cafe is a spacious, undercover venue at Jindalee Home with an emphasis on fresh, seasonal produce, from the canny folks behind local foodie haunt Bare Bones Society. Located outdoors, there are a selection of modern benches, tables and chairs beneath umbrellas for enjoying some relaxing refreshments.

The markets commence at 8.00am and conclude at 1.00pm. The markets are located in Jindalee Hotel carpark in Sinnamon Road, Jindalee and provides a relaxed family atmosphere where kid's, adults and dogs are welcomed.

Small wonders by Bec offer the most beautiful handmade range of Fairy domes, butterfly light domes, paper flowers and loads more gorgeousness. https://www.facebook.com/smallwondersbyBec

You can make your purchases and have a delicious lunch at the hotel before heading home. Being a small market we decided to pop into the Riverside At The Garden Market on the way back home.

Riverside at the Gardens is an eclectic little market held each Sunday in Brisbane’s beautiful City Botanic Gardens. Riverside at the Gardens is the offspring of the Riverside Markets, which for 27 years presided on the waterfront down at Riverside on weekends before closing in late 2015.

Located on the pathway from the Albert Street main gates of the Botanic Gardens, a place where you can relax and unwind in the enchanting leafy surrounds the markets that offer a varied mix of stalls including arts and crafts, fashion, plants, skin care, hammocks, fruit and veges, opals, coffee, baskets, hats, cold drinks, jewellery, gourmet providers and multicultural food, with live music in the rotunda. You can meet the makers too and discover more about their passion
