Walk From Brisbane Wynnum To Brisbane Manly, Queensland. Australia
One of our favourite walks is the foreshore walk between Wynnum and Manly. It’s about 4.5km one way with a smooth path suitable for strollers and scooters. There are plenty of playgrounds on the way along with picnic shelters.

Wynnum and Manly are twin suburbs on Moreton Bay, some 25 minutes (19 km) by car from Brisbane city centre. The waterfront Esplanade at Wynnum is a great place to catch the fresh, salty breezes of Moreton Bay and views to Moreton Island. Pandanus Beach or the nearby Wynnum wading pool are great spots for children to enjoy the water. There are also a a variety of restaurants, cafes and coffee shops on The Esplanade.

We started at Pandanus Beach, jetty, 1930’s tidal wading pool and whale aquativity sculptures that constitute Wynnum Water Park. The excitement level drops a bit after this as the path faithfully sticks by the sea all the way with a odor of Blue Alge scattered along the shore line to Manly.

Upon reaching Manly, there are plenty of refreshment options: prime locations are Tide Wine Bar (and cafe) right on the jetty or the Royal Queensland Yacht Squad over-looking the harbour, where anyone is welcome to drop in and experience the club, enjoy a casual meal or dine at the Harbour View Restaurant . Another option is Cafe la Mer, tucked away inconspicuously on a boardwalk in the East Coast Marina. Or take a detour up to Cambridge Parade for a bite to eat and coffee in Manly's only laneway cafe, Cambridge Lane Espresso.

In Wynnum’s main street is dog-friendly Frenchies cafe which makes a good starting or end point.
On the 1st and 3rd Saturday mornings of the month Jan Powers Manly Market makes a top spot for brunch with dog in tow.
